Facebook has filed a patent application of technology, which can identify the socio-economic status of users automatically and divide them into three separate categories. These classes are - working class, middle class and upper class.
According to the Delimel report on Saturday, according to the patent, the social media giant wants to create such a system, then collect and analyze the users' personal data and analyze their socio-economic status. These private figures include education, home-ownership and internet access.
This patent was made public on Friday. It has suggested an algorithm that can improve the capabilities of Facebook, allowing it to show more relevant ads to users.
The patent said, "Estimating the socio-economic status of its users will help it to reach third-party advertisements targeted users (Facebook)."
