In Personal Computer (PC) you also have some files that you do not like to share with everyone. These may be your personal photos or some documents that you want to keep private. As Windows of your PC does not allow locking a particular file, in this case, you use the software. There are many online software available that help you to hide your private file. However, there is also a risk of virus attack on the file. In this case, we are going to tell you such tricks in this news, for which you will not need any special software or app. Tell you, this trick will work only on Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 and Windows 10

Know Step by Step:

Step 1- First of all, create a new folder anywhere on your drive, where you want to keep your personal files or folders.

Step 2- Now, open Notepad and copy the code below:
@ECHO OFFif EXIST "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" goto UNLOCKif NOT EXIST Private goto MDPrivate:CONFIRMecho Are you sure to lock this folder? (Y/N)set/p "cho=>"if %cho%==Y goto LOCKif %cho%==y goto LOCKif %cho%==n goto ENDif %cho%==N goto ENDecho Invalid choice.goto CONFIRM:LOCKren Private "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"attrib +h +s "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"echo Folder lockedgoto End:UNLOCKecho Enter password to Unlock Your Secure Folderset/p "pass=>"if NOT %pass%== PASSWORD-HEREgoto FAILattrib -h -s "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}"ren "Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" Privateecho Folder Unlocked successfullygoto End:FAILecho Invalid passwordgoto end:MDPrivatemd Privateecho Private created successfullygoto End:End

Step 3- Now you will see an option of 'PASSWORD-HERE'. Replace the password with the password you want to keep. Now go to File> Save> and change the file extension from .bat to .txt and select 'All files' in the drop down menu as Save as. Now you can save the file by any name you like.

Step 4- Now double click the .bat file that you just created and you will see that a new folder is displayed under the name 'Private'. You can save all files and folders that you want to keep private.

Step 5- Now double click the .bat file again and you will see a CMD prompts that will ask if you want to lock the folder or not. Type 'Y' for yes and type 'N' for no.

Step 6- Once locked, you will see that the 'Private' folder has disappeared. To use the folder again, you simply have to double-click on the .bat file and enter the password you set.

In this way you can keep all your private files password protected.
Note: Keep in mind that name the .bat file carefully so that somebody does not change the password of your file.
